our MISSION
HOW CAN YOU HELP
our work
WE STRONGLY BELIEVE THAT EDUCATION IS NOT ONLY FOR THOSE WHO CAN AFFORD. IT IS EQUALLY GIVEN OPPORTUNITY
TO EVERYONE! THERE ARE JUST OTHERS WHO DO NOT HAVE THE RESOURCES TO AVAIL IT.
SINCE WE ARRIVED IN 2000, WE WERE ABLE TO SEND I.P. STUDENTS TO PRIMARY, SECONDARY AND NOW TERTIARY SCHOOLS IN PALAWAN.
WE BELIEVE THAT WHEN GIVEN POSITIVE ATTENTION THROUGH HOLISTIC EDUCATION, THE PALAW’ANS CAN DELIVER THEMSELVES FROM POVERTY AND EVENTUALLY CONTRIBUTE TO NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT.
"In order to Educate Children, we must Love them all equally"

H.O.P.E
CAMPAIGN
"The right to education is internationally recognized to bring about changes in the world and among individuals".
It is a right not only of those who can afford to pay for a good education but of all, regardless of their social status.
To help address the Palawans' Indigenous Peoples (I.P.s) education concerns, the project “H.O.P.E." for IPs was initiated. It is aimed at making an appeal and generate support to Help Optimize Proper Education (H.O.P.E.) for I.Ps.

The benefits outweigh the risks
Moving up the next ladder of education is the best feeling ever. Best feeling because despite the challenges, you were able to reach your goal at last. Last June 29, 2023, twenty-one (21) kids had their moving up ceremony in our level one education system in our Binikyat extension. These kids are coming from nearby areas in our mission school, some are 20-minute walk away and others are two mountains walk away from our school. And worst, some kids (with their parents) risk safety, crossing flooded rivers, through a log foot bridge, walking under heavy rains and some wakes up at 5:00 in the morning just to reach the school to study basic writing, reading and arithmetic. They risk themselves daily with the aim to learn. I felt that for these kids, it is more than the best feeling ever but more of an achievement because despite the risks, they made it through.

Disciples of Marcellin Champagnat, Brothers and Laypeople, together in mission, in the Church and in the world, among the young, especially the most neglected, we are Sowers of the Good News, with a distinctive Marist style, in schools and in other pastoral and social ministries. We face the future with audacity and hope.
The core of Marcellin Champagnat’s vision of mission was “to make Jesus Christ known and loved”. He saw education as the way to lead young people to the experience of personal faith and of their vocation as “good Christians and virtuous citizens”.
We share their intuition that “to bring up children properly, we must love them, and love them all equally”.
